No councillor from previous meeting present.

4. Terms of reference

Resolved unanimously to accept the terms of reference of the staffing committee and to bring to Full Council for ratification.

5. Exclusion of members of the Press and public

Under the provisions of the Public Bodies (Admissions to meetings Act 1960 S1(2), to resolve to exclude members of the press and public (including councillors who are not committee members) due to consideration of business of a confidential nature.

            None

6. Formal Grievance from the Town Clerk

The formal grievance against the Town Council has withdrawn at the request of the Town Clerk

7. Staffing requirements of the Cemetery

Action Cllr Pearson to work with Cllr John Gates from Wigginton Parish Council to recruit a new post of cemetery clerk

Agreed salary paid from Cemetery funds

8. Recruitment of staff

Actions

to engage the assistance of an accountant pro temp for wages and salaries

to contact SLCC for temporary clerk

to work with YLCA as required

to notify local Outlook paper regarding office hours and staff shortages

to ask for and accept offers of assistance from all councillors to run the Council office

to develop job description and advert for new Clerk

to develop job description and advert for new Admin Assistant

Next meeting date will be 19^th October 2022. At 7pm 2 at the HTC office- amended to Tuesday 25th October 2022 at 7.30pm.
